Should I make my own Ritual Tools?
Yes! It's a really great way to help attune them to your own personal energy and to make them feel really special when you use them during a ritual.
Things to remember
Your ritual tools are special objects that you should only use for that purpose. It's really not advisable to use a household item, like a plate or a bowl, for rituals and then afterwards use them as you would normally. Many people will claim that they are "just tools" and therefore not even really that necessary. While one can definitely do without tools at a certain level of experience, they still need to be special or "sacred" objects. It's a bit like serving your honoured dinner guest their food in your dogs bowl - a bowl is just a bowl after all! While it is just a bowl, your guest would probably be a bit offended that you didn't think they deserved a little more effort than a dog bowl. Using an ordinary bowl for a ritual honouring your deities or nature is pretty much the same thing.
If you are doing magick and asking for healing or good fortune then it makes sense to do it in the most polite and respectful way - which includes using ritual tools that are sacred, blessed and used only for magickal purposes (just like you might use your best crockery for a dinner guest).
